Management & HistoryArdormie Farming is a family business owned and managed by Anna James and her husband Loz – and operated by award winning shepherd Elinore Nilsson with help from her partner Michael Gallagher.Originally purchased and managed by Anna’s father, Duncan Gray, and operated by renowned Swedish shepherds Mosse and Lotta Magnusson, Ardormie produces high quality lamb for the UK’s top supermarkets.

Elinore NilssonEllie is a talented shepherd who handles the day-to-day running of the sheep business on the farm, as well as breeding and training working sheep dogs.She is the 2024 ISDS Scottish National Champion – winning in both the Singles with Miderry Kid, and in the Brace with Miderry Kid & Avon Jacob.

Michael GallagherA highly accomplished shepherd, Michael is also on the Scottish National Team and has won multiple awards.Notably, he is a former International Supreme Champion and the former Irish National Champion.Next up for the Scottish National Team are the International Trials in September 2025.
